From the Second World War and National Service to the Falklands, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served and sacrificed for our country. For some, the consequences of service last a lifetime.

I remember when your life changed Simon. To see Sir Galahad torn into as she was, really brought home to us back in the UK what you were all suffering in the Falklands. I think of our boys and girls wherever they are in the world. God bless all of you for protecting us.

By chance I saw your stall at a service station- I had just finished reading about the lack of recognition of soldiers and their support staff in a faraway war. The UK wasn’t involved but the principles are the same – very often war & the impact on soldiers and their families lives is ignored or just not understood by the general public. I hope more of us start to appreciate how much you give – thank you.
