You deserve the best support your country can give you, sadly you don’t get it which is why these charities are so vital. Thank you for everything you do and have done

My family has served in the various branches of our Armed Forces for generations & my 2 brothers and I have served and now are Veterans. I have a son-in-law who’s served about 15 years so far & although things are much improved for serving members, there’s still so much to be done.

Veterans on the other hand are pretty much forgotten- unless they’re being maliciously dragged through the courts for doing their duty at the time. Throw in disabled veterans around the four nations and the shambles becomes a bigger shambles. The Armed Forces Covenant is pretty much a joke here in Northern Ireland.

I would hope that many important improvements are brought in before my son-in-law joins the Veteran ranks and if it means dragging our ‘beloved’ politicians dragging and screaming to the end of the process tunnel, then so be it!!

These are the men who put their life on the line for this country. They are all true Heroes and this government should sit up and acknowledge this.

My forefathers gave us the right to live a free life, they should remain in our hearts and minds forever so we refrain from making the same mistakes.

My dad was a ww2 spitfire pilot and suffered terrible burns when shot down. He obviously survived but now sadly passed on.
