Armed Forces Pledge

From the Second World War and National Service to the Falklands, Iraq and Afghanistan, generations have served and sacrificed for our country. For some, the consequences of service last a lifetime.

Whether you’ve served yourself, have family who served, or believe that those who gave so much for our country deserve to know they haven’t been forgotten join Simon Weston CBE in signing the Armed Forces Pledge.

Uncle I corps WW2, Aunt WRNS WW2, Father R Sigs WW2, Mother ATS WW2, Uncle RAF 1960s, Grandmother WVS WW2, Grandfather R CT WW2. Me, Lt. RN Cold War, Best Friend RN Cold War. I suppose we are a Military family. Time has swept them all away, but I am still here, old and battered but still here…knowing that I am part of the Veteran community is a comfort.

My son joined the Army in 1991 when he was 17 , I was one very proud mum, when he passed out at Winchester as overall best recruit, it was an amazing achievement, and I’m pleased to support all our servicemen and women. Thank you for your service .
