The Armed Forces and their families deserve all the support they can get as well as our thanks. I am proud to be married to a RAF veteran who served for 22 years, and my brother and sister were both in the RAF. My daughter is an Army wife.

My late father was a Lancaster bomber pilot during the war and then was a test pilot (among other things) in peace time. My late mother was one of 4 female flight engineers with the ATA during the war. May they and all who served never be forgotten,

Served for 31 years in RAF all over the world supplying power in aircraft hangers and electronic servicing centres. Also two tours in Northern Ireland during the troubles with photo recce and Army Air Corps. Thanks to all the brave lads and lassies who lost their lives during the conflict there. We will always remember them

Be very proud of the commitment in the service you have joined. Thankyou for putting your own lives at risk to keep others safe in what I believe is becoming a more dangerous world.

We all owe so very much to those brave people who have protected us and to those who still protect us now in these very uncertain times. Nothing we can ever say will be enough to say thank you.

Everyone should be signing this, we owe the armed forces and uniformed personnel so much.

Simon weston was the first injured soldier I’d ever seen, I was a kid then. I’ve helped support the RBLi (Poppy appeal) and other charities ever since.

My grandparents and parents and briefly myself too, all served in the army, my uncle the RAF, many friends too. We owe them all, even in memory a debt of gratitude.
